These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Mise mobile application ("App") provided by Mise ("we," "our," or "us"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Mise is a cooking companion application that provides recipe suggestions and voice-guided cooking assistance. The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use. You must be at least 13 years old to use Mise.
You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose and not to misuse, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the underlying AI models or algorithms.
Mise creates an anonymous account for you automatically using your device identifier. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and your account access.
Free Tier. Mise offers a free tier that includes up to 3 cooking sessions per week. The free tier may be modified at our discretion with reasonable notice.
Mise Plus. Mise Plus is a premium subscription available as a monthly or annual plan. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.
Auto-Renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings.
Refunds. All subscription payments are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be directed to Apple through their standard refund process.
No Nutritional or Medical Advice. Mise generates recipe suggestions using artificial intelligence. These suggestions are for cooking inspiration and guidance only. Mise does not provide nutritional advice, dietary planning, or medical guidance.
Allergen Responsibility. While Mise respects your stated food avoidances, AI-generated recipes may occasionally include ingredients that don't match your preferences. Always review ingredient lists before cooking, especially if you have severe allergies. You are solely responsible for verifying that recipes are safe for you and your household.
Food Safety. Mise provides general cooking guidance but is not a substitute for proper food safety knowledge. Always follow standard food safety practices including proper cooking temperatures, safe food handling, and appropriate storage.
The App, including its design, mascot illustrations, voice content, and software, is owned by Mise and protected by intellectual property laws. Recipes generated during your cooking sessions are provided for your personal use.
You retain ownership of any notes, ratings, or personal content you add to your recipes within the App.

Mise requires an internet connection for recipe generation and voice synthesis. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may be temporarily unavailable during maintenance or due to circumstances beyond our control.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the App with reasonable notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mise and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. This includes, but is not limited to, damages from allergic reactions, foodborne illness, kitchen accidents, or reliance on AI-generated content.
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that recipes will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific dietary needs.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We will provide notice of significant changes through the App.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases, but provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules.
